Spices and success

#8 Language learning tips and tools

What on earth has language learning got to do with spices? Have you ever heard that variety was the spice of life?

Well, in order to make your learning effective and keep your motivation high, don't put all your eggs in the same basket and use a single method or only one tool.

When you feel your motivation is flagging, look for a new way to keep French in your daily routine.

Here is a new idea for you. If you are into reading, but feel daunted at the thought of tackling French literature, this should be right up your street.

Let me introduce paralleltext.io.

You enter your mother tongue and you have a choice between Dutch, English, Finnish, French, German, Greek, Italian, Hungarian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish and Swedish.

Then you chose your target language and you have a list of classics to choose from.

You can click on each sentence to hear it. And if you go in the left margin and click on the icon, you can have that same sentence translated.

If you try it, I would love to hear back from you and to know how this experience was for you.

And if you would like to discuss your language learning needs, get in touch.

Happy learning!
