#5 Language learning tips and tools

I will keep this article short, sweet and rhythmic. I would like to share a language learning tool today, one that will help you multiply touch points with the language you are learning.

Now is definitely the time to put a bit of cheer and music in your life and in your learning. Besides, you are more likely to memorize new things when you are in a relaxed and positive state of mind.

Depending on how you decide to use this tool, it might just exercise your listening and reading skill. But you can also take it a step further and exercise your speaking/singing and your writing.

Let me introduce LyricsGaps. It currently offers 536 songs in French, with gap filling activities rated as easy, medium or hard. Once you have chosen your song, you have further options to select: karaoke, beginner, intermediate or expert.

By the way, Lyricsgaps also has a choice of songs in English, Spanish, German, Italian, Portuguese, Greek, Dutch, Danish, Romanian, Chinese and Korean.

Listening to songs and singing along is a very effective way to practice a language. You can further enhance this learning experience by writing down all the new vocabulary and making a Quizlet out of it.

Another idea, if you want to attempt something more challenging is to translate the lyrics.

I hope you will like these ideas.

And if you want to take your language learning learning a step further, get in touch.

Happy learning.
